A 240-year-old massacre on a slave ship in Caribbean Sea inspired one of Canada's most widely studied poems

This week marked 240 years since 133 African slaves were thrown overboard from the slave ship Zong in the Caribbean Sea. The tragedy inspired what may be the most talked-about Canadian poem of this century. Poet M.
