Need a longer holiday? In a tight labour market some companies offer sabbaticals

At a time when many workers are wishing they had more vacation leave, there are some who have six or even eight weeks of paid leave under sabbatical programs. Sabbaticals are offered at some private companies as a tactic to help retain staff.
